This five-pointed star has a simple, classic shape, but it’s not until you look closer that you discover the superbly detailed female face emerging from the center. Her eyes are closed...perhaps she is sleeping? You can easily see the individual strands of her long hair as it spreads over the creased points of the star. This star is from an old French mold we found in Paris that dates to 1891. We hand-cast it in a foundry in solid 14k yellow gold in our studio and buffed it to a satin finish. Dangling is a pair of trillion cut bright green dyed rock quartz gemstones. These are truly fine quality stones with a cut that gives the piece great sparkle. 14k gold earwires. Earrings measure appx. 1 ¼ inches tall. Will substitute different drops, if desired.

On a scouting trip in Paris, we uncovered a

trove of 19th century molds and findings hidden away in a remote corner of an ancient warehouse. These repousée pieces are amazingly detailed, reflecting the highest standard of French craftsmanship. You just can't get this

in the U.S. Most of these items have not seen the light of day for at least 80 to 100 years!
We have selected the best pieces for casting in silver and various golds. Each is then polished and specially finished, and embellished with unique combinations of top-quality semi-precious gems. The result is a hybrid modern/classical jewelry that exudes timeless
