    Description

    This is a scoter decoy from the coast of Maine.  It has an inlet head, no eyes and never had a ballast weight.  The head is well done and the carver caught the look of a scoter when making it.  There is a chip out of the top of the tail but it's under the paint.  The paint looks to be original.  The decoy has been used but is in very good condition with fairly light wear.  Measures 15" long.
