YOU ARE BIDDING ON 2 NON-RUNNING MOTORCYCLES WITH CLEAN PA TITLES IN MY NAME.I BOUGHT BOTH OF THESE BIKES WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING THEM FOR RESALE (I'VE OWNED A SUCCESSFUL MOTORCYCLE REPAIR SHOP FOR 22 YEARS). I HAVE OWNED THE 1985 FOR 2 YEARS, AND I JUST GOT THE 2003 THIS PAST SUMMER. THE STARTING BID IS THE AMOUNT I HAVE INVESTED.
SITTING ON THE BIKES...THE LEFT BIKE IS A 1985 700 WITH 10K MILES. IT WAS A RUNNING BIKE 5 YEARS AGO. IT WAS MOVED AROUND A LOT BY A MILITARY FAMILY AND ENDED UP IN STORAGE FOR A FEW YEARS. ONE DAY HE WENT TO START IT AND THE BATTERY WAS DEAD...HE GOT A BATTERY, AND IT REFUSED TO START...I AM 100% CERTAIN THAT THE CARBS NEED CLEANING. I WAS GUARANTEED THAT THERE WERE NO KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE BIKE. I'M SURE THAT IT WILL NEED BRAKE WORK AT THIS POINT AND ONE OF THE TIRES LOSES AIR. IT IS A STOCK UNMOLESTED BIKE...IT HAS SCRATCHES ETC.
SITTING ON THE BIKES...THE RIGHT BIKE IS A 2003 750 WITH 17K MILES. I HAVE WORKED ON THIS BIKE IN THE PAST (FORK SEALS). THE OWNER WAS STARTING A FAMILY AND IT HAD TO GO. IT LAST RAN IN 2021. HE REMOVED THE AIRBOX AND PUT POD FILTERS ON IT AS WELL AS MODIFIED THE EXHAUST. THE BIKE WAS RUNNING UNTIL THE DEAD BATTERY...I TRIED IT WITH A JUMPER BOX, BUT IT WOULDN'T START...OLD GAS ETC. IT HAS HAD SOME POOR MECHANICING, BUT IT'S NOT HORRIBLE AND I'M SURE IT WOULD COME BACK TO LIFE EASILY.
I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THESE...MY SHOP WAS SWAMPED THIS YEAR AND AT /HR, IT MAKES NO SENSE TO SPEND THE TIME FIXING THESE 00ea BIKES UP.
THEY ARE STORED INSIDE AND CAN STAY FOR 30 DAYS. I WOULD LIKE CASH AT THE TIME OF PICK UP. BOTH TITLES MUST BE NOTARIZED INTO THE NEW OWNERS NAME BEFORE THEY LEAVE (AT YOUR EXPENSE ea).
