This Wood Identification Kit contains a pack of 50 assorted solid wood veneers, most beautiful woods on the planet, each labeled with its species and country of origin. The veneer sheets are each roughly 4" x 9" x 2/83" thick. The samples are also great for inlays, marquetry and small veneering projects, as well project planning and working with clients to pick a wood species. The contents of the identification kit vary depending on the availability of wood veneers, but will include a wide range of domestic, exotic and figured veneers..

Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible. Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species.
There are many factors that influence the color, grain and appearance of natural wood veneer so the picture you see on our website is a representative sample of that species of veneer. The veneer you receive can be slightly different in color and grain appearance because each tree growing in nature is unique unto itself. Another reason for a difference in color is that you are viewing a sample picture on a digital computer monitor and colors will not reproduce the same on all monitors
