Description
This photo depicts an airedale terrier sentry war dog and two British soldiers. The capption identifies the dog as a sentry dog with the Norfolk Regiment that was killed at Aisne in WWI in 1914. Very unusual antique print. Beautiful dog.Though the photo was taken during after WWI, this print is from the 1920s.
This is a black-and-white plate from an extremely rare antique book from circa 1929. It has a blank back, meaning it was printed separately from the text for better quality and then tipped in or sewn into the book when it was bound. It would look wonderful framed.
The paper is heavy and of quality. The small page measures approx. 4.75 x 5.75 inches, and the picture (without margins) is approx. 3 x 4 inches.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
I can combine multiple in purchases in one package. Just ask!
