Description

This litter of Airedale Terrier puppies made science history as the first litter of dogs born in the East and Midwest conceived by an artificial mating.
And, this litter was reported as only the second litter of dogs country-wide to have been conceived by an artificial mating.
The dam of the Airedale puppies was Whiskey Miss and their sire was Major Jake, both cited as registered dogs.
The sire and the dam were both of Oorang bloodlines although Oorang is errantly spelled Ourang in the attached caption on the back of this photograph.
This historic Airedale Terrier photograph measures approximately 8” x 10” and affixed on the back of the photograph is a caption with additional details about the mating.
This great photograph was circulated to news outlets around the county to announce this scientific accomplishment.
